About

A tokonoma is an alcove in a Japanese tea room where artworks, flowers and text are displayed, often in combination and on a theme, for the contemplation of the guests. In a loosely similar fashion I often pair lines from my past or present reading with favourite artworks as a spur to thinking over my morning matcha. These pairings will be posted here interspersed with other items that catch my attention during the day.
